November 6, 2007: Games!

After a bit of wrangling (and an intervening weekend), I've collected a comprehensive list of what we played on our annual Game Day. Behold!

• Are You A Werewolf?
We fit in two games, with the werewolves winning the first, and the villagers the second.
• Call of Cthulhu: Arkham Horror
The W23 crew drags this one out often, despite, as Fox says, "The board hates us!"
• Bandu
Will brought this stacking game from the back of his closet. I lost because I'd had too much Red Bull.
• Dragons of Kir
Just Thomas and Shadlyn on this one -- it's just a two player game. Thomas won (a common occurence, as you'll see).
• Dust
Will, Randy, and I set this one up. It was the first time playing for all of us, and we "learned" several rules the hard way. We'll definitely be setting this one up again.
• Dutch Blitz
Fade taught us this favorite of her family, and promptly stomped Shadlyn, Richard, SJ, and myself.
• Guitar Hero
Fox brought in his XBox 360 and showed off his mad skillz.
• Heroscape
Will, Alex, and I played "vampires vs. The Hulk vs. The Silver Surfer." Alex's Hulk smashed.
• Cold War: CIA vs. KGB
Jimmie and Phil played this one, and Phil miraculously won.
• Lord of the Rings: The Confrontation
Phil and Will broke this one out. Another win for Phil!
• Mission: Red Planet
Thomas, Duncan, Randy, and Morgan carved up Mars, but Michelle conquering the world.
• Nexus Ops
Will, Randy, Ducan, and Jimmie rigged this one up under a black light! Wish I'd gotten a photo of that!
• Phil's Unnamed Really Abstract Dice Spaceship Game
It was just an idea that Phil's been tinkering with, but Alex and Jimmie had fun.
• Pitch Car
This was the winner of Phil's "suggest a game" call. He, Will, Randy, Thomas, Alex, Fox, and I raced our wooden discs around the track, with Thomas winning.
• Reiner Knizia's Samurai
Richard, Duncan, Jimmie, and Fade played, but I'm not sure who won.
• Screaming Eagles
Jimmie and Richard fought down to a draw, after knocking out Alex and Will.
• Taluva
Thomas taught SJ, Loren, Duncan, and Richard to play, then joined in the second game. Richard won the first game; Thomas the second.
• Ticket to Ride
Richard, Fox, SJ, Thomas, Loren laid tracks, but SJ steamed into the winner's circle.
• Tsuro
Shadlyn beat Michelle, Thomas, and Morgan.
• Zombie Fluxx
Michelle and Duncan lost to Jimmie, then played him again with the same result.

Whew! I couldn't get a photo of every game, because I was busy playing and eating. The titles are linked to the games themselves; the links within the description will take you to the pictures I did get.
