June 12, 2006: A Real Dragon For GenCon

On May 22, the Children's Museum of Indianapolis unveiled their newest addition to their Dinosphere exhibit: Dracorex hogwartsia.

Apparently, the skull of this member of the pachycephalosaur family has an unusually smooth forehead, which, when combined with the long muzzle and spiky horns, give this little guy a distinctively dragonish appearance. The homage to Harry Potter's school was a natural fit.

So, if you're in Indianapolis this summer (say, for GenCon), stop by between 10am and 5pm -- where else are you going to see a real (dead) dragon?
