Rabbit rabbit!

(It's the first of the month. That's what you say to people on the first of the month.)

Interesting things afoot.

First: Litheroy. This is only the most basic of sketches, and it's temporary - only until we get an official, in-print write-up - but it's enough to make a character, and that's what counts, right?

Second: Digest Archives. Again, this is only a temporary measure - full details on the page itself - but it should help those of you who know what digest you're looking for, or who are having trouble with receiving digests.

Third: sodaplay. The obligatory non-IN link. Repeat, *no* In Nomine content, but the toys on this site are really cool anyway.

Beware, I Live!

Not that the topic really has anything to do with anything. I just really like Sinistar.

Anyone familiar with Star Trek or Stand By Me will remember Wil Wheaton. I know I haven't seen much of him lately, but the other day our very own Andrew Hackard pointed me to the actor's website, at www.wilwheaton.net. As it turns out, Mr. Wheaton is not only still in the acting business - in fact, I understand he's just about drowning in the mojo his readers sent him for yesterday's audition - but he's a very funny man (at least to my limited tastes), even without a script. Doubt me? Check out his Internet radio show, Radio Free Burrito, which - so far as I can tell - tends to air between 10 and 12 PM, Pacific Time.

Just doing my part as J. Random Guy to share the wealth, you know?

What? You want In Nomine content? Very well. New articles below - including, apparently, the first appearance of Mr. Eric Burns in the In Nomine Collection, whose unwitting exclusion has been a grievous oversight on my part - plus, in case you don't bother to read the In Nomine Website, and do subscribe to Pyramid, the In Nomine: Anime playtest has commenced, with discussion on the Pyramid newsboard playtest.in-nomine.anime. Don't subscribe? It's only $15 per year (thanks, Mihr!), and gets you access to the magazine (and all online back issues), the playtests, and the online PyraMOO chat!

A Change In Tactics

As the topic suggests, I'm changing my tactics regarding the In Nomine Collection.

See, I'd had the bright idea that I'd upload everything and then do a massive uplink, and that way it'd all be worth it when this enormous hunk of information finally got out to everybody. The problem with this approach? Every time I took a chunk out of the backlog, more got put in than I'd taken out. (Cue: "Well, duh.")

So: new approach. Everything gets uploaded in the order of the date when I received it. Every day there will be an update, until I've made my way through the backlog. (Hopefully this will be an update of at least ten items. It may be as few as one, or as many as thirty or forty, but there will be an update every single day.)

In addition, when the last of my backlog is uploaded, I'll unveil the new site design. Just one more thing for you to look forward to.

In the meantime, I'll start uploading... (At ten items a day, I only have two months to go...)

(Update 9/19/01 2:30: I am aware that the new files are lacking the images that are meant to be associated with them. As soon as I can spare the energy, I'll distribute the images properly in the directories. In the meantime, enjoy the all-Moe update!)

(Update 9/19/01 15:00: It occurred to me that when the new articles scrolled off the index page, their links tended to be lost. I've now fixed that problem. Check the bottom of the page for a link to all of the articles uploaded after noon 9/18/01. When I have the time, I'll link everything that doesn't have a home in the directories.)

A Valen-tiny update today. Notice a theme? ;)

(Update, 11:11 PM: A new file added - Maurice Lane's Valentine's Day contribution.)

(Update, 3/10/01: I'm on a new ISP, so logging in to sjgames.com is difficult. I'll try to update as frequently as I can.

As a side note, thanks to all of you who let me know that the Trials of Michael page was broken. It should be fixed now.)

New update today! (Finally!) After battling with my computer for most of this week, I've managed to get back into an operating environment - however shakily - and complete this update.

The restructuring is still incomplete. I won't change anything on the main page until the redesign is complete, but after that, you'll want to check any bookmarks you might have that point to the INC. Hopefully, I won't have to upload any new files while I'm doing the redesign (as it affects how I upload files); I figure I've got about a week's grace period, given what I uploaded before the crash.

I'm writing this from my laptop, over a very slow dial-up connection. My desktop computer has crashed indefinitely; hopefully it will be up by tomorrow, and I'll be able to complete the update.

The directories and files currently remain unchanged, which means that you can still access the older files perfectly well. In addition, I did manage to get a handful of files HTMLed before the crash, and I'll be making those available below.

Thanks again for understanding the delays!
