August 4, 2007: The Spacesuit Of The Future?

It's funny to think of "old-fashioned" as applying to spacesuits, but the ones NASA is using now are heavy, inflexible, and very tiring to use. Dava Newman, a researcher at MIT, is working on a sleek new model that would look just fine on the cover of a 1940s science fiction mag. Not that that's the main design goal, but it's still a feature!
