"Fred" was a taxidermist all his adult life. A mixture of boredom and
professional curiosity triggered a delight with hoaxed 'monsters' which he
could construct with ease. The seemingly harmless hobby ended his life when
a Servitor of Death traced the supply of curiosities (which he wanted to
zombify, which meant getting to them before they were stuffed) back to Fred.
Fred was given a choice: eternal life, or immediate death - he choose 'life'
and became a mummy.
Fred now uses his skills to 'upgrade' volunteers for necromancy. He grafts
sections of zombi onto the target during the Mummification ritual; as the
extra Force comes from the zombi these extras integrate into the new undead
- if all goes according to plan. Before the mummification begins, the
additions must be decided on. A successful Necromancy roll allows him to add
CD level of permanent Numinous Corpus to the new mummy - failure causes CD
levels of Vestigium, as does failure of the Mummification ritual.
Favourite additions include retractable claws, implanted plates, sonar from
bats and scent from dogs. Poisonous fangs can only be granted if the zombi
had the appropriate version of NC:Acid. As Undead do not need to eat or
breathe, additions to the torso are highly recommended. "Fred" will make
sure that sufficient lung capacity remains for the new mummy to talk -
unless the ritual fails, of course.

Special Ritual: Fred's Techniques. This ritual allows the possessor to
perform the 'surgery' described above. It costs CD essence, which must come
from the zombi being dismembered.
