Zhan was chosen to portray the Element of Wind for the 7 Samurai show in Japan & seems to perfectly fit the mold. He is quiet & severe, showing no emotion at any time. Despite a deep understanding of Ninjutsu & Zen Archery, Zhan prefers the Code of the Samurai & is annoyed by the fact that a Western Pro Wrestler was chosen over him to play the role of the Ronin on the show. He is deeply aware of the rift between the Japanese & the Chinese & how it affects his chances of gaining any prominence in the Japanese film market. Now that the show is over he has a desire to test his talents, tested only on episodes of the show, against true-life foes & to try to live the Way of the Warrior. He always had to wear a mask in the show & is all-but unknown, especially to Westerners. He seems to have received military training somewhere . . . He usually hides in combat, picking off unarmored foes or their gadgets until spotted, at which time he rushes amongst them to scatter them like ten-pins before finding a new hiding-place.
