Thrust 1d-2, Swing 1d-1, Speed 6, Move 6
Reaction Modifiers: +3 Charisma, +1 Attractive, +1 Status, +1 Fashion Sense (if outfit prepared in advance); best case: +6.

Charisma +3, Reputation +2 (Erotic-fashion Designer, recognized sometimes), Fashion Sense (+1 to social reaction rolls when wardrobe planned in advance), Cool (+1 to Fright Checks), Panimmunity 2 (+8 to HT), Versatile (very imaginative, +1 to any skill requiring creativity or invention [many Artistic skills, Electronics, Engineer, Gadgeteering, etc]), Very Wealthy, Status +1 (Propriator of "Lady Erica's" erotic clothing store), Attractive

[Official Errata: If someone with the Fashion Sense advantage dresses another person for a social event, that person gets the +1 reaction for the event. House Rule: There may be IQ rolls required for the subject to remember the Fashion-god's instructions, and it will probably not work reliably for subsequent activities without the Fashion-god's personal supervision ("You wore that dress last week! How could you have worn it to the Governer's party yesterday?!")]

Fantasy

Lady Erica is probably a Madam in this setting, as well as a designer of elegant clothing that manages to be prim and proper while still setting the opposite gender to panting and baying at the moon. Change TLs to fit, and alter the other skills as need be. Add Literacy, and probably Needlecraft and Professional Skill: Tailor.

Modern

Lady Erica may or may not be a Madam, but the clothing she designs would make Fredrick's of Hollywood and Victoria's Secret curl up and die if "Lady Erica's" ever started mass-marketing . . . Fortunately for them, Lady Erica's is a very expensive store, and they don't have to worry.

Near Future

Alter TLs to fit. Add a few entertaining cyborg enhancements, and some defensive skills. She's not an undercover assassin, but she's more of a handful than many would-be kidnappers might think.

Lady Erica (last name unknown) is the talented and elegant owner and proprietor of "Lady Erica's," a store rather like Victoria's Secret, only more-so, selling sexy nightwear, various erotic accessories, and attractive day-wear as well - from things that one would only wear to go out in the evening, to clothing that would not look out of place in a business office (though it would look droolingly stunning).

Lady Erica's merchandise also runs the gamute from relatively inexpensive items (for customers who walk in off the street), to the back room(s), where Lady Erica herself or some of her apprentices will show various holo-catalogs and/or do custom work for individuals, very discreetly. Those back rooms are lined with assorted bio-sensors, measuring the customers' reactions to what is being offered, and allowing the implant-comm-equipped Erica (and any assistants) to tailor those offerings to the individual.

Getting a back-room appointment requires no fame - only a substantial account opened with Lady Erica's. $10,000 is a typical sum. Her creations can go for that much, depending on the intricacy of the design and the materials used, but are generally in the $2,000 to $3,000 range for a custom job. (This includes any accessories, such as shoes, reticule/purse, gloves, and jewelry, as well as any built-in scents; see below.) She works extensively in bioplastic (usually too thin to get the full DR or PD of a biosuit, unless you ask for something that multi-purpose), programming it to simulate anything from satin to leather. Her creations often exude a perfume of some sort as well - leather-scent, mint, cinnamon, floral, musky, etc. Since bioplastic has limited abilities to reshape itself, she also can create items of clothing that are multi-purpose - six-inch heels on boots in the bedroom that shrink to nearly flat if you want to wear them to the grocery store, for instance.

Kinky minds can probably come up with other uses for bioplas clothing . . . ;-)

A Lady Erica original usually has - and needs - no identifying tag (save perhaps a tiny electronic button, to verify that it is, indeed, an original). When you see someone in a dress that appears to be one wide ribbon of bioplas that's in danger of slipping at any moment (but doesn't), and the wearer looks beautiful instead of tacky - that's a Lady Erica piece.

Lady Erica is a former Professional Courtesan, and has many contacts within the business (and possibly a few old clients as well, despite her official retirement). She has been the President of the Courtesan's Guild in the past (and might currently be, if someone's talked her into it again). Some of the space at her store is periodically rented out for seminars and training courses, and she has been known to give lectures, demonstrations, or teach a class herself. Like any Guild-trained Professional, discretion and elegance are not just second, but first nature to her. She would no more reveal her list of clients, and what they purchase, than she would go out in public wearing neon plaid and polka dots.

Depending on the campaign, Lady Erica could be a target (she has data that the PCs want/need), a Patron (think about being a security guard in her store, or counterespionage with competing designers . . . ), an employer who needs help (for those freelancing troubleshooting PCs), or just local color (when the PCs go shopping for their girl/boy friends).

Typical Quotes:

"Perhaps something in a deeper burgandy? It ought to set off the highlights in your hair very nicely."
"No, it won't slip. Trust me. It will just look like it's about to slip any moment. I wouldn't try to run in it, though - that might make it shift a little . . . "
"I'm sorry, but he's a client, and I can't discuss him. Perhaps you should do a Byte-search on his name in the socialite pages?"
